Burial Records

The burial records available for the chapel are certainly incomplete and at times confusing. When the Unitarians were ejected from Risley in 1838, they took with them the current register book. I have a transcribed copy of this, made by John Bulmer in 1979.
The burials listed at Croft start in 1840 and go up to 1899, there are 149 in total. He does state that the original book contains another 18 burials from the years 1936 to 1958 which were not copied by him.
This leaves the years 1900 to 1935 with no recorded burials at all. There are also graves which have no burial listing and burials with no apparent grave.
I am still working on providing a full list which will be available for download. Hopefully I can locate further information from the archives before then.
